Rave: ate dinner at Fonda with no wait (went right after they opened for dinner). Excellent service tonight. OK loved his entree, while mine (two apps) were just okay. Desserts sounded good, but we were too full.
Rant: the lady at the next table. She was there when we were seated and her poor dog was tied out to a meter on 7th Ave. It was sprinkling and masses of children were passing by and the dog was watching and barking at its owner. Several people stopped to comfort it and one left a note and another came in to talk to her. Once she finally left, the lady said something to the waiter about how all those people that thought this was wrong, were wrong and didn't know her dog. LEAVE YOUR DOGS AT HOME when it's not dog walking time. Ugh! Lady, there are many reasons why you shouldn't do this, even if you think your dog was not stressed. -

ha...I got an invite on FB to a kiddie happy hour at the bar. Two guesses as to whether I went (and "yes" does not count as a guess) -
No and Fuck no?
-
^ "Fuck no" and "Only if I can bring a weapon"....but close, Beave!
-
and, OQ - that poor doggy. WTF is wrong with people?
-
It was a dive bar in the east village with huge signs posted saying "you must be 21 years old to enter." At first it was kind of amusing that kids came in to trick or treat. But then they stayed and hopped up on barstools and surrounded the pool table and knocked into my bag and pretty soon there were more kids than adults. I couldn't curse or tell naughty stories. So I went outside to smoke thinking that would surely drive them away from at least the sidewalk. Oh no! They continued right on with their dancing and merriment. Gaaaaaaah! Fucking asswipes. Go out to dinner, leave the dog at home. Go out to drink, leave the fids in their cage.
-
Kids trick or treating at a bar? Well if the bar wasn't giving out candy then maybe they wouldn't be.

Muhahaha!
-
At least in this part of town kids tend to trick or treat only at the businesses, and not at homes unless they know the people living there. I've noticed the change over the last 5-6 years.

Anyone else feeling utterly lazy today? I just ordered delivery from Tacos Nuevo -I can't be bothered to cook, plus I have Frances Ford Coppola's Dementia 13 to watch!
-
^ I simply cannot find my motivation - although I did grocery shop, sweep the yard and walk a bit. Now.....pfft.....
Oh, and I have entirely too much food in the house for one person. -
Aren't Sundays usually lazy days?
Rave:
I'm not feeling lazy today and the weather is nice so I'm gonna upload a few new songs to my ipod and then go for a nice long walk later. -
Rave: Nomad, Mrs Whynot and I were not lazy at all to today. We rode the marathon route on our bikes before the race. ...which meant meeting Nomad at 6 AM.
-
Rave: kitchen full of day after a holiday sale candy.
Rant: tummy full of day after a holiday sale candy. -

Rave: Had a third interview today!
Rant: I will replace someone that they are about to fire, but they have not yet fired this person. They expect it to take two weeks, but longer if said person gets a lawyer and is pissy about it.
Rave: Pay is decent, job is decent, and sure beats annoying you people with mindless posts all day. (can I get a group "Amen"?)
Rant: Still waiting to hear from a employer I would rather work for, and pays about the same $. I hope to hear from them this week, they called my references last week.
Rave: I did not provide Scarlett as a reference.
Rave: I will be likely be employed before Thanksgiving, when family members were going to spend the whole meal stating "if you do x, you'll get a job faster"
