Does Brooklyn between Dean & Bergen have a block association? Ive lived here over a year and haven't heard anything. I'd like to help set something up.

My building has a tenant's association. I will start there and see what folks who've lived here a long time suggest...

Any tips would be great! Thanks.

    Supposedly there is something akin to a block association. My boyfriend was encouraged when he moved to the block to join, and we were told to talk to this guy who lives on Bergen between NY and BK. He lives in a brownstone on the north side of the street and has a mini cooper parked in the driveway.

    you might want to hit up the president of the bergen (bet kingston & brooklyn) block association. he's very involved in the community, with the local precinct and city council people.

    he's also my dad and i can pm you his personal info if you want to speak to him.

    It was a Blackberry not an iPhone and the cops already know the GPS is on and the phone company IS tracking it....however, they say it takes weeks to get that data back (in the mail!) from the phone company rendering it pretty useless....

    let me know what you find out. when i moved in the tenant association president told me about it, but i haven't heard about any meetings.

    Hello brooklynleather. Clay is my daughter (I didn't know she was reading this blog) and I have been active with my block association for four (4) years now. The block association claims Bergen St. between Kingston & Brooklyn Avenues and Kingston Avenue from St. Marks Ave. to Dean St. I was the fellow who gave advice about the MiniCooper owner.

    There is a block association on Bergen btw. Brooklyn & NY Ave.; I met the president & her family while they were trick or treating on Halloween. Some of the members in our block association organized a block wide posting of balloons at all of the houses that were participating in "Trick or Treat".

    We'll be having a block cleanup on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10a.m. thru 2p.m. Please come around and talk to myself or any of our residents about starting up a block association of your own.

    There is also an active block association on Dean St. btw. Kingston & Albany Avenues that includes Revere Place.
