Dumping animals on 23rd St? (REPOST)

Reposted from the 23rdstnabe newsgroup, anyone have any idea who dumped these dogs?
Yep, one is inside Green-Wood's grounds, the other oudside, following his/her. Friend. Green-Wood was alerted this morning.

Not sure if they have caught up to the errant pooch (inside the grounds) as of yet.

Anyone know who dumped the dogs?

They were a little frantic, trying to get into the cemetery, but wanting to stay right around the corner at 23rd Street and 7th Avenue. Both looking like german shepard / rottweiler / general mutts.

  • Anyone who does this to any animal, I don't care what your excuse is, is a fucking scumbag and deserves to be gassed. Taking a dog to ACC and letting it be put down is more fucking humane then tossing it out on the street to fend for itself.
  • HUGE shout out to Sean Casey. I finally figured out where it was today and went in and spent some time with the kitties. Managed not to take one home, but it was hard.
  • AB, correct you are...and an unfortunance of being next to the Cemetery (which we love). We have seen rabbits, cats, birds, even raccoons (go figure) and it just pisses me off each time that folks don't have a brain in their head to do the right thing.
  • Good news for one of the pooches, Sean Casey Animal Rescue picker her up. Black dog is still out there (with a muzzle or leather pouch of some sort around it's neck). If you see him, call Sean at 718-436-5163
