Furniture repair guy who was on 5th Avenue over 10 years ago

I know this is a stretch, but was hoping someone might remember and know something.

Over 10 years ago, there was a furniture repair guy who had a storefront on the corner of 2nd Street and 5th Avenue, I brought some pieces to him and he had done a great job. he closed up and I was wondering if anyone remembered his name and if he might have a shop somewhere else now. He was a really nice guy and his wife used to work in the store with him, thanks.

    oh, and I'm pretty sure I saw a sign up on a shuttered store on 5th avenue that indicated they may be opening a store front again. And they recovered and tightened up antique chairs and a table of mine recently. He was very nice.

    No, not Zelda Victoria, he was on 3rd Street and 5th and that was much more recently than this guy also.

    this was seriously over 10 years ago and he was right on the corner of 2nd and 5th, it's an apartment now. maybe one of the other old timers will know. Thanks

    his name was/is david, and the place was called mr. wood (seriously) - southeast corner of 5th ave. & 2nd st.

    he did some work for my mother a couple of years before being forced out by rising rent. I had him look at something for me right before leaving and he was really upset about the whole thing. I have no idea what happened to him, but he was a really nice guy who did great work at a fair price.

    that's it!!! Mr. Wood was on the outside of the store! Darn, I was hoping someone knew where he moved to or if he was still in the business. Thank you for remembering though, I had such a clear picture of the inside and outside of the store and of him, but no names were coming to mind! he did do nice work, he fixed some pieces for my mother in law and sister in law and did a great job.
