Where can I get a massage?
I work in Manhattan, where I've seen a bunch of spas advertising "Black Friday" specials. I need a massage badly (pulled something in my neck!) and would love to find a deal in Brooklyn over the weekend.
Can anyone recommend a spa, preferably in Prospect/Crown Heights, Park Slope, Ft. Greene, Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill or downtown?
Much appreciated!
Happy holiday, everyone!

there's a Polish place on Vanderbilt.
Some people like it but I've never been. -
It's not a "spa"....totally no frills place - but I love the Chinese Tui Na place on 7th Ave and Windsor/16th St. They are normally $55/hr and I think they are running a special until the end of the year for $50/hr.
These ladies are STRONG and it's not for the modest (everything off except a towel) or people looking for a chi-chi experience. If you are looking to work out a sore muscle, I recommend them highly. I thought it was a bit sketch, but have been there 8 times (after 10 you get a free one), without any bad experiences. -

I can HIGHLY recommend Eileen Thomas...she has a space on 11th Street and Fourth Avenue -- however I think she may practice outside of her office too. I have been going to her for quite a few years. Very safe, reliable and great person! http://www.eileenthomas.net/.
She may even have time on Saturday!

The Chinese place just around the corner from Gorilla Coffee is great and very affordable. I think you can ask for a massage in 15 or 20 minute increments. (Gorilla is on 5th Ave, the massage place is across the street from Gorilla on ParkPlace).
Howdy, Stranger!
