What is this area like (EP Franklin) — Brooklynian

What is this area like (EP Franklin)

What is the area directly around Eastern Parkway and Franklin St. like? TIA (Thanks in advance). Family friendly at all? My friend called it "Prospect Heights" but it is considered CH, right?

Whether it is CH or PH, it is changing, thanks to the efforts of some old timers like Sarah Taylor and Ms. Porter and the Crow Hill Assn. I suspect the really grim days are behind Franklin Ave., especially now that the old Interfaith Hospital is filled with middle income folks. FYI, Interfaith has about 850 market rate rental apartments and is on Prospect Place and St. Marks Place between Classon and Franklin.

Tryin' to lay claim to the new hottness... Back before you all came along, we were proud to live in our respective neighborhoods and we didn't feel a need to annex adjacent areas just because they were "in."
  • oh if you ever look at the bus stop signs, it says crown heights on washington ave stops.

yes, and if you look at the one by my building, it says "greenpoint". not because that's where it IS, but because that's where the bus GOES.
