HEY PATSY
HOWS EVERYTHING -
Hi Anthony & Patsy,
Anthony, I am glad you are still in the old neighborhood keeping things straight. I lived about 10 blocks from you but I am sure we shopped in some of the same stores and if it were not for the age difference we probably knew some of the same people.
Patsy, Hope you are holding your own in some of my old haunts in Bay Ridge. Is the Alpine theater still on 5th Ave? What about Ovington Bowling Alleys on Ovington Ave just off 5th.In my teens I used to belong to an organization which met in the Bay Ridge Masonic Temple and I got along pretty well with all those Scandinavians in Bay Ridge. Also played basketball in a Church league that had teams in most Chuches in Bay Ridge. :santa: -

I remember the Alpine well. In 194something I went on the 5th Ave Trolley with my Mother and we saw Gene Kelly in the Pirate. Gene Kelly was one of her favorites. Don't ask me why it was not in the Prospect. Would have been much closer. In those days there were no "plexes". One theater period. When we played in the basketball leagues for the Church there was a Bay Ridge League, A YMCA league and a Flatbush league. Never forget we played at a church in Red Hook once and the locker room was under the Gym. Had to open a trap door to get there. memories. Okay. Carol & I are team cooking supper. Steak on the barbecue on the freezing lanai, baked potatoes and smelly cauliflower. peace be with you. :santa:
