packing and shipping?

i need to have some fragile items packed and shipped. i've used the ups place on flatbush a couple of times and they do a good job but charge an arm and a leg. i was wondering if anyone had any experience with postal on (790) washington.

  • so i tried postal, aka away we go postal (sounds like musical mayhem), and thought it was quite good and did seem cheaper than the ups on f-bush. one reason is that they offer fedex, ups and usps so they were able to find out which was cheapest for each package i sent. but it also seemed like the prices were better for packing and shipping, altho it's hard to compare apples/apples. the clerk (desiree) knew what she was doing, packed my fragile stuff securely and was pleasant. altho she was the only one working when i came in so the next guy had to wait while she finished my packages. i'll continue to use them.
  • has anyone used the washington postal place for receiving packages? curious if they're on it for that....
  • haven't used it but they do have that service. supposedly they e-mail you when a package arrives.
  • I ship items from the Washington Ave. Away We Go quite often and like them a lot. Never received anything there, but I imagine they're equally competent at that as well.
