Subject: Flatbush + St. Mark's

there's a new biggish place opening up right on the corner of Flatbush + St. Mark's -- does anyone know what it's gonna be?

  • Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins. looks like its opening soon too, you can tell its almost done inside if you glance in past the paper covering the windows.

Yeah, but I've seen worse - when the first Krispy Kreme opened up in MN four or five years back, you would hear about the traffic delays during the morning commute - the first few days the line backed up to the freeway exit. People got in line the day before they opened... That is sad.

    Mmmm... Krispy Kreme... :D

  • in true park slopian neo liberal hippie style
    there should be an organization
solely devoted to demonstrating against any neighborhood business
whose products contain mostly high fructose corn syrup

hand out flyers about the evils of high fructose
showing the link to diabetes and such

big ol' placards with the company logo and the poison logo superimposed
    a takeoff on "supersize me"

actually this is a really cool idea for a documentary...
  • 7th Avenue Donuts will always have my heart. They make the best coffee in the and donut in the City. Anything else at that place however and you are putting your life in their greasy lil' hands. Stick with the donuts.
