Yes, Moogar's Fifth over Fifth does make an excellent barbancourt egg nog.

Special Mayor Offer: The Mayor of Moogar's Fifth over Fifth is entitled to extra bacon with their cocktail upon showing the bartender they've checked in.

Something tells me 5th on 5th will not be very profitable. Fun, but not profitable.

    DDA: good choice of expressions.
  • been walking all over the neighborhood for the past couple hours. gorgeous -- those perfect flakes like in the pictures. granted, it was nicer before the wind picked up.
  • Took a nice walk a few hours ago when there was just a dusting and the dog was going CRAZY. Planning to go back out for a bit tonight then hit offleash tomorrow!

Also, I was just at c-town and it was way emptier than usual on a sat evening. We didnt even wait in line.
  • Am I the only one who doesn't change their routine? It's snow, not a nuclear war.
  • you're the only one with a saturday routine, that's all.

Speaking of 'the sledding hill' where's the best spot near GAP?

I think folks usually sled from the east side of Longmeadow (starting up near the road) on the GAP end. They start above the sidewalk and go all the way down into the field.

Just remember to to wait until 9am, though b/c off-leash is open until then and lots of dogs will chase you and dogs and humans can get hurt! And some dogs don't chase in a fun and friendly way or herding dogs like mine will be all over those kids if they are out, trying to round them up. We need our hour or so of light, and sledders can have the rest of the day please :)

    Here's my business model:

    1. Make cocktails and bacon
    2. ????
    3. Profit
  • Something in between 1 and 3 (aka ???) might be straight out pimping!! Ho where's my money at???!?!?!?
  • Fairway this morning was a wild mob scene of aggressive hipsters almost running each other down with their big carts.

I think that's normal for the weekends there. I try to only go on weekdays/nights now after making the mistake of going on a weekend a few times.

Every first snow of the season, the city does this:

Free hot chocolate and sleds- Whawhawha word.
  • the virgin snow of Mt Prospect Park has now been disturbed by Why, Mrs Why and Dude.

(Dude's tracks are the ones go in wild figure 8 patterns).

...don't worry, at this rate they'll be covered in a hour or so. ...it's your turn to "have the virgin next".
  • ^ fun! But at this rate, I'd say Dude's tracks are already gone. Forecast was just upped to 16+ inches.
  • 1. Catch up on Lost (we're only on Season 1) on the Xbox
    2. Play some World of Warcraft
    3. Eat Christmas junk food
    4. Sex.
  • bruno and I did our own version of offleash up and down my block (shhh...we didn't see a SINGLE other soul out there in the 20 minutes we were frolicking!) dogs are so cute in the snow.
  • flexi- where are you getting your forecasts? weather.com seems to have nt been updated in a while
  • I wonder why 8thandPrez bothers with steps 1-3? ...foreplay?
  • Carmen wrote: flexi- where are you getting your forecasts? weather.com seems to have nt been updated in a while
that was from Channel 5 at 10pm news
  • NBC news just said 12-16+

I think that most of them just upped their forecasts as we seem to be in the "band" of heavy snow
  • Bo'bama (seriously - how cute is he?)!

Real hipsters don't shop at Fairway.
  • The trees look really pretty this AM, they're all capped in snow.
  • so....how much snow is out there? anybody know? It looks like over a foot in my yard (untouched). My street was plowed many times during the night, so I can't tell from there
  • I think its about a foot
  • Mrs. Why went xcrountry skiing in PP this AM, with Dude following behind. They report ten inches (as measured by the distance from the ground to Dude's belly)
