hello thank god i can get out today, my son came to my rescue. !!!!!
and came with a nice surprise, my oldest granaughter. !!!!!!we had a nice breakfest. she came home for the weekend. going back tommorow for her last final test,after her test, taking train back to ct. for christmas.

last week of advent.
May God grant all of us who are running around and doing things the last minute,
patience and the gift of love towards everyone during this hectic week. May we remember what it is all about. The time of giving and love and forgiving towards one another no matter what they have done.
The homily last week was to find one person who u can forgive and talk to again no matter what they did. THIS IS VERY HARD FOR SOME. Really hard for alot of people.
I am going to try and do my best and be calm and forgiving. I pray I can do that and I pray that God gives us ALL Good Health because with health u have everything. You can work and survive as long as u have your health....
The rest will come easy.
Okay enough of being MUSHY
Back to work. Baskets have to get out.

Morning Snowbirds!! Don't know about the rest of you but Sanitation made one miserable pass on my street and didn't put down any salt. It's a skating rink. Boy was I fortunate yesterday. When I bought this house the first winter storm we had, a young kid rang my bell and asked if he could help me shovel. I said yes and to come back everytime it snowed. Well, yesterday morning at 8:30am my bell rang and there was my no-so-little-anymore friend. He's a sophmore in college now!! God Bless him - he shoveled me and my car out. He even earned extra money - my neighbors hired him. I better buy an electric snow shovel - he's not going to be around for much longer :-(.
4 more days to Christmas! Where has the year gone.
Everyone have a good day today - Debbie keep making those cookies! I made strufoli w/my sisters last week - 21 dishes!! I ate an entire dish yesterday. Stay in and keep warm - the streets are sloppy. You know we had a big snowfall when there's snow on the streets in Manhattan. Times Square still has some. I'm sure by today it'll be gone. Wish they'd come to SI and get rid of our snow!! -

HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT WEEKEND, DID YOU ALL PLAY IN THE SNOW???? WE ONLY SAW FLURRIES AND SLEET/ICE ON FRIDAY NIGHT BUT OTHER PARTS GOT SOCKED WITH SNOW!
CAUGHT SOME GOOD SALES ON CHRISTMAS ITEMS YESTERDAY, THEY ARE ALREADY STARTING TO MARK STUFF DOWN.

Just to let you all know I have not been on line in a month or so I have been in the hospital. I went under surgery to have my left leg amputated, I am now in the nursing & rehab center where I spent last summer, I am doing much better it will take time until I get an artificial leg & learn how to walk again.
Thank you all for all the prayers that has been said for me.

I hope you guys had better luck than we did here in some parts of Delaware. We got 20 inches of snow here and except for the main roads and highways that the D.O.T. plows and salts everything else is still in bad shape. The schools even started Christmas break now.
Terry- thanks for the beautiful thoughts and reminders of what this season is really about.
Fred- we are all praying for you to have strength to get through the long rehab you have ahead of you.
