Is anyone aware of a hostage situation that was taking place last night on Prospect Park West and 17th Street? Not sure if it was a rumor or true. Any details about the situation?

I didn't hear anything, but if thats true it would be pretty weird; the movie Dog Day Afternoon was filmed on that block.

whoa. No. what time? Where did you hear this? The only activity I saw over there yesterday was a police car and fire truck on 17th and 10th Ave around 4pm
