FREE As seen on TV door draft guard/draft dodger
I bought one of those newfangled double-sided draft dodger thingies for the bottom of my door (the ones with tubes on both sides, connected by a thing piece of fabric in the middle), but wouldn't you know that my door is designed precisely the wrong way for the thing to work. (I blame my door, not the fancy draft dodger, because it is clearly a cool idea worthy of being see on TV).
i got it at tarzanian, but here's walgreens' description in case you're not familiar with the device of which i speak:
http://www.walgreens.com/store/catalog/Aids-for-Living/Twin-Draft-Guard-Insulating-Device---As-Seen-on-TV/ID=prod5453565&navCount=1&navAction=push-product?V=G&ec=frgl_522201&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=sku5452432
My door is 31.5" wide and I already cut it to size, but it seems like a regular door-sized door so it should work, and you can easily cut it to make it smaller.
the reason it didn't work, BTW, is that my door is set inside a frame that sticks up a bit at the bottom, so there was no room for the outside tube had nowhere to go.
It also works on windows, but my windows aren't the problem.
If you want it, it's yours. PM me.

I'm obsessed with those things ! Actually, I'm obsessed with all the As Seen on TV thingys, but unfortunately, my door is too wide.
I hope you find a good home for it ! -
(d_luxx, am curious at to your hits and misses, but don't want to de-rail the thread. If you have any stories, PM me.
I want that thing you clean the inside of the car windows with and a ShamWow. ) -
i have purchased and used not one but two (one size medium and one size large) of the Ron Popeil "Set it and Forget it" countertop rotisseries. I gave the smaller one to my kid so that I could buy the larger one.
I love them... I use them for everything from hot dogs and meat loafs to leg of lamb, turkey, Cornish game hens and rib roasts. -
So funny, I was looking for these at CVS the other day for my neighbor to use on one of his windows but CVS didn't have them. You said Tarzian does? I would take yours, but not sure it would fit since it's been cut already.
-
I only cut off about 5" - it is now about 30" long.
I'm pretty sure I overpaid at Tarzian - the prices I saw online when I was getting the link yesterday were a couple dollars less. (But Tarzian, unlike stuff you buy online, is a block away.) -
If no one wants it yet, I'll be happy to take it off your hands. Maybe we can meet up at the next brooklynian event if not sooner. I'm sure there's another game night or happy hour brewing.

Besides CVS on 9th, I know that Save on 5th also has an "As Seen on TV" section, so they may have them.

Whoever takes it, please update us on how this thing works. I'm thinking of getting one too.

Mama, it's yours if you want it, since I was going to give it to my neighbor, I would rather give him one that hasn't been cut yet in case he wants to do something with it. Glad to hear you can get them around here though

I have/had them. they worked great until my cat destroyed them.
