Best Bagel w/ LOX and cream cheese in North PS

I'm craving a really good bagel with excellent fresh lox and cream cheese.
What's the best place for this around here? I haven't had one in over a year and a half! Good lox is the big deal, as I'm not a purist on the bagels as long as they are made that day.

    When Brooklyn Larder has smoked salmon, it's pretty delicious. I believe they have cream cheese as well. Cross the street to Bergen Bagels afterwards.

    I live in the NS and when I'm craving a bagel with lox I go to Bergen Bagels and then up to the Sea Land (is that what's it's called? Natural Market maybe?) right by the BQ stop and grab a package of lox and some Philadelphia cream cheese. Always hits the spot.

    I'm sure Bergen bagels can make one for you as well, looks like they got some good stuff. Didn't know Larder has it, I'll check that out next time.

    agree about bklyn larder. that place is heaven.

    and they are having a big "new years" sale right now.

    it's on flatbush right near bergen.

    but they are in south slope.

    Bagel Hole in South Slope. The mini bagels at Terrace Bagels are also good.

    ^terrace bagels is awesome. I have to take them to PA for my mom and her friends whenever I go.

    Bagel Hole used to be a lot better. Their bagels got really small around 2 years ago and they do not toast. I'd go to Terrace or La Bagel Delight.

    They've always been true bagel size. Other bagels have gotten bigger over the last 10-15 years, so they seem smaller by comparison. In this case, however, bigger does not equal better, because the monstrosities sold at most bagel places have the wrong ratio of crispy outside to chewy inside (for the few that get the chewy part right at all).

    bagel hole has the best (and most authentic) new york bagels around.

    those huge ones are not better just because they're as big as your head. quite the opposite.
