Sounds good, but i hate the idea of paying a $2.50 delivery fee! Does that mean I don't have to tip??
I also don't like the idea that there is no info on them, who they are, where they are, etc.. not so sure I would be ordering food from them. -
Pancakes are so easy to make at home, (for cheap!!)
-
Oh, yuck! I can't think of anything less deliverable than a pancake! Especially one topped with egg? Yuck!
-
oh, i love pancakes, this makes my day
-
But pancakes are so easy to make yourself, either from scratch or from a good mix. I don't see this place taking off.
-
easy, if you happen to have eggs/milk/flour in the house. i usually don't (because i will then make pancakes)
-
I love the menu, just kinda want to order it from a truck and have it fresh right then and there. concerned about sogginess too.
-
Oh, and I just read the hours. The earliest you can get a pancake delivered is 9:30 am. Perhaps I could see myself doing this if I wanted to have pancakes on a weekday (like for somebody's birthday) and I didn't want to deal with making them. But, by 9:30am, I should be at work.

You could get one of those complete mixes (just add water) keep it fresher by storing it in the freezer, and then when you get the craving, just mix up a batch.
I don't follow my own advice, because if I did I would be eating pancakes all the time and weigh 200 pounds. -

And you can add vanilla or ginger or cinnamon in to the mix and spark it up. Better yet would be some frozen blueberries.
To me pancakes are a special treat and I rarely eat them but if I do it is at Bubbies for brunch on a Sunday or if I make them for overnite guests who are staying iat the house.
Sending out for pancakes is something I would never do but if people can get with the idea... this might be a successful business. -

It's weird, it sounds as if someone is just doing it out of their house -
This business model is not aimed at any of you - it's for single, hungover guys who don't even know where their kitchen is and don't want to put pants on to go outside and get pancakes.

this is the most amazing thing i have ever heard of. -

They're going to have to put pants on to answer the door! -
Not necessarily, they could jsut use a towel or hide behind the door, lol
-
Where is this place? Is this a restaurant that delivers or just somebody making pancakes in their kitchen?
-
Sounds like someone making pancakes in their kitchen and probably illegal given the strict DOH standards.

correct.
...unless they are doing business under a different name, they seem to be not registered with DOH.
go on, type "pancake" in Brooklyn

but I give them points for being enterprising. -

A nice trick for making lots of pancakes at home:

Hey, I got pancakes today! Well, one pancake. It was good. Expensive for what it was, but good.
-
Did you go get it or have delivery?
-
blinktoe wrote: Hey, I got pancakes today! Well, one pancake. It was good. Expensive for what it was, but good.
What? It was a single pancake?!? As big as a plate, yes?? -
Getting the batter IN the ketchup bottle seems to be a little tricky.. using a funnel might solve it.
Blinktoe.. Did you mean that you only got to eat one pancake because they were so wonderful that person who shared the meal with you ate the rest?
(I love guessing)
Who knows... that might be more interesting than the actual answer. -
No, I got a single pancake. i ordered the one with chocolate with strawberries and bananas. Like I said, it was expensive, but I was so curious.
It was large, and it was delicious, and the delivery girl was sweet but it's def. not a cheap thing!
So Veets, your idea was more interesting
-
Were you hungover and pantsless?
-
so, the question is now: Where do the pancakes come from?
...someone should order pancakes and then follow the delivery person back to their kitchen (apartment?) -
and.. whoever this person is do they have no life and just sequester themselves in their apartment waiting for a pancake order ?
