LOVING HOME for toy Pomeranian I pref to adopt a rescue but
Hello,
I would really love to adopt a toy Pomeranian! I'm a mature student in grad school & do most of my research from home, so I have plenty of time to play with and walk her/him. I live alone and have a private, fenced in backyard and I live near Prospect Park. You're welcome to come to meet me and see where your dog would live & to see if we would be a good fit.
I prefer a rescue dog, one who needs extra attention and love and care, but it might be difficult to find a toy Pomeranian from a shelter; I know they're in demand (they're so cute!) A puppy would be wonderful, but I'm open to age, gender and color. I'm only looking for a small dog, between 3-7lbs or so. I will also consider buying a new puppy, but since I'm in school I'd rather put that $ into spoiling my new baby with the best food, toys and of course, vet care.
Last year I fell in love w a Pomeranian I'd adopted from a heartbroken owner who had $$$ fines from her non-dog friendly building. 4 months later, I agreed to let her take him for visit since she missed him desperately. She moved, & never brought him back. I understand, she missed him terribly, but now I'M heartbroken. Please consider me to adopt your loved pet. I will provide lots of love!

Also Craiglist! Pets section. Good for you for choosing to adopt instead of buying from a pet store! It's the kindest thing an animal lover can do for a homeless pup :thumleft:

There is no such thing as a toy pomeranian (or a toy chihuahua or a toy maltese.) This is a huge pet peeve of mine and anyone who tries to sell you a toy or teacup anything is an uneducated breeder/owner. These dogs are all a part of the toy akc classification but prefixing their name with "toy" infers that there is a standard size of that breed (like a standard poodle versus a toy poodle) and since there is no standard pomeranian, there is no toy pomeranian. If youre referring to a small stature version of the breed (which is 4-7 lbs breed standard) then just say you want a runt...which is what it will be.
Howdy, Stranger!
