  • Good Morning All,

Tomorrow when I go to Brooklyn I am going to try and go see her even if she is not awake. It is going to be 3 weeks since they called us up and said she was not going to make it through the night. You never know....
She is in and out and not eating.
I just keep on saying this....... It Is In God's Hands.

    proud of u girls.....
I know it aint easy even if it is only 5 cigarettes a day....
  • Hello all you brave people quitting the dirty, expensive unhealthy habit. I have a suggestion for you. Take the money you normally spend on smokes every week and put it in a piggy bank. After 6 months open the bank and you will probably have enough money for a mini vacation if you smoke only a little and a nice trip if you are a heavy smoker. IT WORKS and is another incentive to stay off the butts. Also, be wary of your first social event since you quit. If other people around you are smoking it adds to the temptation. I would say watch out after sex but with Jims "Hey God, what is a headache" story I guess that is not a problem!!!
  • HEY WARREN,
Talking about Jimbo where the heck is he?????
  • Stay strong all quitters!! I once read that the urge for a cigarette only lasts 10 seconds. So, if you can occupy yourself for 20 seconds (just to make sure :-)) the urge will pass - chew a straw, drink water - or anything else that might tickle your fancy! - talk a walk, hop on one foot - BUT DON'T GIVE IN. Believe me, it's not easy. I quit 21 years ago and there are days but it passes... Do what Warren says and save the money and then treat yourself to something nice. Cigs are what $12 a pack - that's a nice chunk of change for a vacay.. Crazy!

On that note - have a great day everyone!!
  • JUST PASSING BY

    BUSY AT WORK

    YA ALL

    image
  • ok how crazy is this i reading bout quitting and lighting a cig
not because i want one but because it was mentioned
i need to quit i smoke way too much
5 cigs dont last 5 hours here when stuff settles here
i will join u all in being smoke free
  • Hi All, yeah, Warren is right, take the money that you would normally spend on cigs and put it in a safe place and it will grow and then you'll have enough for a summer vacation.

Terry, my prayers for Marie, wow she is strong and hanging on.

Paul, hope your little one is feeling better, not good being sick with that virus.

Take care and hope everyone has a nice day!!!!
  • See Ya later
    CCD today
Really don't want to go out but i have to...
  • Hey Joe, How come no pictures of the 1939 Worlds Fair. I guess the pictures would have been taken with a Kodak Brownie Box Camera. I also guess you were not born yet when the 39 fair took place. By the way. It was in the same location as the 64/65 Fair. I barely remember a few things about it. I was only 5 or 6 when I went. I do rember a guy dressed up as the Jolly Green Giant, the Planters Peanut guy and the Tucker car on display! What was amazing then is old hat now. Terry you are right. The GE exhibit from the 64/5 fair is in Disneyworld and they keep bringing it up to date. It is in Magic Kingdom right near Space Mountain. The audience sits in a theater which revolves around the stages with things that were and things to come. I always get a kick out of the barking Dog that sits on the edge of the stage. So real and lifelike looking! :D
