  • I ate a bunch of stuff there the other night and it was freakin' good.

It's not open yet, but I know some folks who know some folks.

    Quite right.

Home made pastrami. Home made fermented pickles. Home made sausage. Home made Lox. Home made everything. Some smoked. Some steamed. Some both. Some will have gravy.

sounds good! did the folks who know some folks happen to mention when it might be opening? you know, so those of us who don't know folks who know folks might be able to try this canadian-jewish deliciousness.
  • Beat me to it...
  • OK...but are they open yet?
  • It's open. It was open Monday. It's pretty yummy. Be warned, it's not M=NYC Pastrami, it's "smoked meat," and it's delicious. So far, everything I've had there is good. Not normally a "Turkey Sandwich when I eat out guy" I can highly recommend the grandpa. Smoked meat is all good as well.

It's a fairly small menu, but everything is focused. Not a ton for Veggies, but changes are already in the works.

I did have to go get an EKG after my Poutine but it was tasty. Waiting with baited breath for fermented pickles. Oh, it's open for breakfast too, bitches.
  • Is there a menu with prices anywhere?
  • Cool...do they have their liquor license yet?
  • Thanks Jeffrey, I thought they were too new to be on menupages yet, my bad.

I found this to be just a little weird:
    The Ruth Wilensky salami sandwich pressed on an onion roll {no mustard 10¢ extra}

    ten cents for mustard?

He charges you if you DON'T want mustard.

As to the liquor license, they're a couple weeks away on that.
  • Damn, I have to pay!?! LOL
I was hoping an apostrophe was missing (no mustard, 10 extra)
    That is some eccentric owner

    You don'tlike mustard?
  • Love mustard, just thought it was weird.

Has anyone been? since it opened?
