Small senior dog needs a home

We just found out that our elderly neighbor has been in the hospital since December and will have go into a nursing home once she is released. She has a 13 year old pekingese named Niko and now he has no where to go since she has no family.

Niko has been staying at the vet since she was admitted, but cannot stay there forever. He needs a permanent place to spend his golden years. Niko is in pretty good shape although his eyesight is not great. He is good with other dogs and is very sweet. He is the perfect dog for someone that works from home or is retired. Niko is very low maintenance and small. We are desperate to help him since they plan on euthanizing him otherwise.
