Hey all, heading northeast for a little while, so, you won't be hearing the sultry sound of my voice for a few. Have any suggestions for Cape Cod fun with kids?

Have a good couple of weeks. Maybe Joyce will be open when we get back!

  • what are you gonna be doing in cape cod?

piece of advice: steer clear of the balconies while the kids are around
  • Probably a good idea.

Two weeks of exploring, since we've never been there. We're going to Eastham. Bike, beach, eat ice cream and seafood, sleep, read, sing, look at stars, you know. No fabulous night life or anything, unless I can find a babysitter. It's time to get out of here for a little while. Although from what I hear, we'll probably run into a bunch of people from Brooklyn.
  • have fun and enjoy!!! and dont use hot roof tops!!!! they be tarful and hot!
  • Yes, they be. Too hot for me, anyway. And why go to tar beach when you've got the real thing a short bike ride away?
  • Provincetown is worth the trip... you might have to 'splain some stuff to the kids, though, depending on their ages...
  • Well, while I've never taken them to Christopher Street or to the Pride March, we do live in fabulous Prospect Heights. The concept is nothing new, since the kids know neighbors and our friends who are gay, as well as some of their friends who have two moms or two dads, but they haven't experienced a scene yet. No time like the present. Are there parts of P'town that are more insane than others that might be too over the top for them, or is it just the fact that it's essentially a gay town? If the former, we can avoid certain neighborhoods if we have to; if the latter, no big deal.
  • No - nothing really over the top in P-Town. Maybe a couple of "women" with very deep voices, and there is a sex shop or two. Nothing a New Yorker hasn't seen. We were up there with some 12 year olds last year, and we all had fun.
  • Agreed, nothing too over the top. It's just got a good vibe, and it's a cute town regardless.
