Is that an ironic shock? Getting an article linked to by Drudge guarantees tons of traffic and hundreds of the most vile comments on the internet.

Very good. Someone who alerts us to an article on Drudge in the same breath criticizes those on Drudge as loons. And way to go mentioning anti-obama comments into a thread about Dogs. Oh, and you want vile, check out the dailykos and democratic underground, but then this is a thread about dogs getting their coats stolen and not vile internet comments.

Wow. Didn't mean to get you so fired up. You really should relax about things a little bit...not worth getting so upset.

The whole dog coat incident is absurd to begin with...and the fact that it has been picked up by national media is shocking. Imagine logging onto Foxnews or MSNBC and seeing someone complaining about being blocked in by alternate side parking.

Dude, read the very first comment on the story:

haha, i keep thinking that whenever i see the stroller traffic jam outside of the 9th street YMCA

but yeah, OP... don't leave your dog tied up outside... they can get stolen, injured by a passing dog, or freak out and bite someone stupid enough to bother them (like a small child, etc.)... if you need to go to a store, make two trips.

fucking ridiculous what passes for news these days. I didn't watch teh video, but it is under "Breaking News". Dun dun dun!
  • jeanne moos' pieces are to news what papa john's slices are to pizza.
  • I think it would be much more relevant as a newstory if Matt Drudge was tied to a pole while his dog was the one shopping inside. Much more humane too.

    That's your definition of vile?
  • I assume that some PS baby coming out of a bar needed a coat and an overzealous parental figure took advantage of the situation...

I was responding to your "way to go mentioning anti-Obama comments into a thread about dogs [sic]." This reflects the reality of what the right wing Drudge nutjobs will do with any topic.

Which then leads to the all important question . . .

Was it a boy coat or a girl coat? ;)
  • for everyone's sake, I hope the coat was green. or yellow.
  • Who would dress a dog in a green coat? Or wait, was it an Irish Setter? Perhaps it had a matching green leprechaun cap?

Anything for a precious Park Slope baby! As to the gender appropriateness/neutrality of the doggie coat: every good Park Slope parent carries with him/her a pink, blue or grey (i.e., gender neutral) ribbon to attach to clothing items that might cause offense to non-Park Slope and/or other Park Slope parents.
