Good point - there's no reason to talk to this person. He knows he's a monstrous prick - he doesn't care.
You'll leave a note on his windshield - he'll throw a brick through your window. You'll try to talk to him; he'll punch you in the nose. You try to secure one of his half-spots; he'll take a bat to your windshield. You get him towed; he'll light your house on fire.
And invariably, when you crazy glue his locks or puncture his tires or key his car or leave a threatening note - you'll find yourself at the precinct house talking to sympathetic but duty-bound cops.
Just go straight to the revenge/vandalism. Illegal though it may be.
Although, the youtube idea from above is good and legal and with proper play you can get aired on the local news channels. But again, don't reveal yourself as the filmer - film his ass w/ a telephoto lens from behind some shades or something and make sure your screenname doesn't tie back to you. -

There's a block around the corner from me whereas, if you don't live on the block, your not parking there. All the neighbors are in on it. They move thier cars and hold spots. Strangers not allowed.

Maybe you could "accidentally" break a bottle or spill a box of nails in the half-spaces when one of the cars is gone. You wouldn't damage anything, and if the guy wanted to avoid damage to his tires, he would have to sweep up the glass before moving his cars.

The night before the snow storm I watched as a guy on 13th St. between 7th & 8th took up 2 spots and then, seeing me waiting for him to pull either up or back, jumped out of his car and ran away! I left a nasty note tucked into his hood.
I like the idea of the You Tube video. I'd also beat him to the punch on ASS day and take up 2 spots myself. -

I want to park there too! But, I also park on 5th St on ASS just because the whole double parking thing annoys me.

I generally think the best solution is to be upfront and talk to the guy about it but people have been shot in this City over parking spaces, (among other ridiculous things) so maybe you should just leave a note on the car and explain to him in nice, polite, 4th grade level English why he is a douche.
If that doesn't work, pop out those valve cores. Make sure it's the night before ASP is up so he will get a ticket the following morning.
If you're going to fuck up his tires, then leave the note first....you don't want to show your face. -

And from the description of his activities, I would estimate that he's a somewhere between a bedbug and a dingleberry on the scale of human value.
He's probably very nice to his dog, but I doubt he washes his hands after he goes to the bathroom. -

I'm incredibly gratified to know that I'm not the only person who's noticed this, ahem, person, and that I'm not crazy in being this annoyed or having fruitless revenge fantasies. For the sake of accuracy, in case anyone else wants to take a look, it's on 16th between 7th and Jackson, not 15th. -

this is amazing.... this is across the street from my house (i must be neighbors with you Astigmatism) and it does blow my mind that dude takes up 2 spots all the time.... once or twice (i moved to hood in september) i was able to get the spot and it was the greatest moment of my life. (what does that say about my existence?)
the other problem with this spot is that there is some yellow paint that extends just a foot or so after the fire hydrant and i've seen people thinking they're safe to try and squeeze in front of the red truck, only to get parking tickets.. granted, they should know better to park that close to the hydrant but this yellow paint gives people a false sense of hope. -
The garage looks suspicious behind the truck so....
City records for that block/lot indicate 3 buildings, one of which is a garage. There is an active DOB violation from 1986 (probably the illegal conversion to living space) plus a CofO that indicated a "garage and storage building. Curious to know if this guy lives in the building right in front which is actually 327 16th Street. The point is it might be moot as to anyone using that space to park. Even though he is using it as a parking space (maybe the owner of the illegally converted garage) he would be within his rights to have anybody else ticketed and towed for parking in front of his "garage".

i don't think that's right. he can only have the car removed if the curbcut leads to an off street parking space. if it is officially a garage, but has been converted, legally or illegally, so that one cannot park a car there now then you can't be ticketed for parking in front of it.

You could fit several motorcycles in there.
The original approval of the garage in 1925 by default gave the owner a legal driveway. Which, I think, he has been careful not to compromise.
