that party space by ripple

were you loving 2:45am?
police= "the party is over folks, go home"...."don't make us bring more cars in"... hilarious.
this was after a huge pile-up in the street of yelling, fighting people who woke me up... i looked out side & there was an ocean of people consuming the entire street in front of my apt. it was insane. -

holy shit! I just got home and there are very few people out and about.

but ... did you notice the space now has a sign that says that it is a juice bar and cyber cafe? but I guess they're also a party space? cripes. -
Is this where they were serving food out on the sidewalk last night? I passed by around 11 and there was a big crowd and it was damned near impossible to get past, but it wasn't too crazy yet.

the food is a new thing.
last night was more insane than when they had the beat down with the metal baseball bat. -

Hey Alafairnadia,
Following the long thread. You are probably extremely kinesthetic and reacted with alarm over potential escalations that night. It seems not fair that the ones blaming you for false usage of 911 want you to prove something your gut and limbic system already knew.
It happens to me all the time. I go with my feelings first and then have to explain, trying to say the right thing to appease the always go by the rules people.
So common that abused people get killed so often because the law doesn't really protect them.
Many years ago, I called the police in Wakiki, from Texas about a phone call from my little sister who was scared of her crazy boyfriend, the cop just about laughed me off. To make a long story short, he called me back hours later to let me know they made a visit and arrested his ass. Cop said my phone call really bothered him and he also had a little sister... -
vanilla - you know I'm with you next time. if I can hear a party over my air conditioning after midnight or 1 a.m. I'm definitely calling someone. and yeah, that bbq is new. I got all confused when I saw it yesterday b/c I thought that it was there for that washington ave. festival, but that's next weekend ...
bellaja - thanks. I agree with you that there is a spectrum of perception and that we all tend to function at different levels. some people are constantly paranoid, and some people refuse to believe something is suspicious until a Bad Thing Happens. I like to think I fall into the area of cautious - I coexist with a lot of people in a big city and prefer to think that nothing bad is happening/going to happen 99.99% of the time. so when my brain says "this is not good", I tend to listen. sometimes I'm wrong - but I'd rather be wrong than sit by and either let something happen to me or other people. -

no - I think it's just a street fair. actually, your wife should know about it. it's some merchant fest they're having once a month ... -
we need carnivore to come up with come good reasons for calling 311... underage drinking, open containers, noise complaints, beat downs, illegal(?) bbq on street... what else carnivore? how do we get more attention than just that?

Why me?

you came up with good ideas before to make the 311 call seem just a bit more extreme... hhhmmm.... guess it hasn't worked though!

She's not integrated in to that not-so-secret society yet... but the awning did go up, so she can't be too far away! Think they have secret handshakes?!
Whoa - I just saw what you wrote - once a month? -
