Ha - Bizarro TWC. I want to live in that universe. The kicker is, when the tech finally does show up, he'll probably just call and have them "resend the signal" or some crap and it'll start working...

Ha, indeed. Anyway, thanks for the support, I'll hopefully provide a final post on this thread on Saturday...
  • I must have just used up all my good luck for the year on a Time Warner appointment. My reception has been terrible since I signed up at the beginning of the month so I finally made an appointment. Somehow I got a two-hour window instead of a four-hour window. Five minutes into the two-hour window the technician calls and says he'll be there in a minute, which he is. Immediately agrees the reception is unacceptable and eventually determines the problem must be a bad box. Replaces it which fixes the problem completely, apologizes for the problem in the first place and is finished in under a half hour.

The customer service person I talked to to make the appt. in the first place was also very friendly and apologetic as well. *shrug* I mean, it would be nice if they didn't hand out broken boxes in the first place, of course, but I can't complain about the tech service.
