  • The Sanchez family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful blog family for all your kind thoughts & wishes.
I want you all to know that my mom would have been so proud & happy to see the way it all turned out. The funeral home was filled with nothing but laughter and joy for three days. All we did was talk abought all the fun & funny things my mom did with us and the great people in the neighborhood.
We spoke of the fun times she had with Patsy's grand mother, Mamie, Clotilda's mom Boobsie, Anna Shiralli, Johanne's mom, Eleanor (Moro?).
The people at the funeral home were looking at us a bit strange I guess because they are used to nothing but crying and wailing.
This was truly a Celebration of a Life and not a mourning of a passing.
Again, thanks to all of you for reassuring us that we also have a family among our old neighborhood friends.
  • Our prayers go out to Joanie & Lauren for the sucess of the transplant and a speedy recovery
to Patsy's uncle that he gets well soon
Thanks for bringing our Paul through his procedure and anyone I may have missed by not staying up to date on my back-reading.

That is the way to do it. Keep her spirit alive. You laugh, you cry and you remember. Elenor Mondone (spell) is her name. Loved her. she and my mother always laughing. Annie, my Annie. God love her. I still call her and keep in touch..Still going strong with that flower in her head....
How fortunate were we to have grown up with loving, funny and wonderul people.. The ladies of Park Slope Rock!!!!!
