I wish it was warmer.

Aem chair.. as I settle in to bed.. it is 27 in NYC.
Consider living in New England.
It is 45 in Shrewbury Mass. right now.
What kind of reversal where NYC is colder than up north?
So... we have snow and a lot of it and it raining up north where it usually gets the snow. -
My NY Times was delivered but not to the front door. It is sitting out in the front yard being buried by the ongoing snow fall. I can see the blue plastic peeking up through the snow. I am not ready to put on all the snow gear to go out and retreive it.

It IS warmer -- it's gorgeous out there, and way above freezing.
Look at this tree ready to fall, St John's and 7th Ave

If I weren't swamped with work I'd be back out in it in the park. As much as I am not a fan of cold weather, these days are awesome. I was in the park with friends (and our dogs) from 7:30-9:30 and it was gorgeous, but there were some branches down. People who trudge to the park in this, that early are all fairly happy to be there so it's a nice crowd.
I saw some interesting vehicle situations on the walk. A semi-truck was having a very difficult time at the hospital truck bay and blocking all traffic on 7th Ave for a while. Later an ambulance was stuck in the ER ambulance entrance. A tractor, maybe from the park, showed up to help the ambulance but they weren't haven't much luck while I was there. -
Starting to snow pretty good again right now
-
It's not snow, it's slush. It's literally falling from the sky in slush form, slush before it hits the sidewalk. Though I heard one person describe it as "Italian Ice."
Yesterday I was at a thing on 5th Avenue in Manhattan - stepped out into a 4-inch deep river with little icebergs floating on it. At what point is it best to just switch to a boat? -
I am so happy that our sidewalks were shoveled. Yeah neighbors and businesses! Thank you so much.
Was it me or did the news say the fine has jumped to $200? Tried to find the info and came up with a site from Queens:

Kind of fun even though I don't know crap about queens. It it, there is a pdf for giving NYC violations for not shoveling:

Are there places like this in your neighborhoods? -
I had a nice day. Watched the weather from the inside of my house.
-
I so wish I could have stayed home. But t was a normal day at the County.
