Tree removal service? — Brooklynian

Tree removal service?

Large tree fell over in our yard, taking out a few fences and some cables. We have to remove it before they'll replace the cables.

Anyone have any leads on a tree removal service in the nabe?

  • Andrew Jones removed a tree from my garden and I was very impressed with how efficient and quick he was. Left everything spotless despite having to take the remains through my apartment.

  • 1st Ebloc good luck. Is your tree the one that on a good day would tip over and crush the noisy people at Franklin Park and or 95S? If it is the same tree,Cablevison is using it as a pole. The" we won't do something until you do something" BS ball can get hit back into their court, the whole areas cable service is using your tree. CV has an interest in helping you solve the problem. You should call them and ask them to reconnect your service or disconnected their cable from your tree......The guy doesn't want to do the work because he will have to get the bldgs on Lincoln to give him access
  • No, it's not that tree. It was a 60-foot-tall mulberry-looking thing that was listing 45 degrees.

It looked pretty solid, as if it had been listing for a very long time, but I guess the Snowacane proved too much for it.

I ended up spending $200 on a 20' gas chainsaw at Home Depot and with three hours of hard work managed to liberate the two yards from the tree's presence.

Two more yards to go, but at least the cable is free now.

    Thanks for the tips!
