Let it be true that SOMETHING is happening to one of those underutilized storefronts on Washington Avenue and Lincoln.

I see no job filings or permits, but I am hopeful. I'll take an illegally constructed cafe if I must...

    There's also something in the works that looks like a restaurant across the street from Gen.

    Subject: new cafe

    The vacant storefront on Washington and Lincoln is going to be a coffee shop/internet cafe type place. I'm excited, but also wary, becasue I 've also heard they might have a pharmazy in back. Strange combo. Trying to pack too many business into one place. I just hope we get a respectable looking sign or awning on the block.

    Why must the key foods strip mall and Love liquours be the welcome mat to our neighborhood. It could look so cool. Have you seen the architectural details of the key foods building?
