Three possibilities:

1. There is no crime in the 41st precinct.

2. There is crime in the 41st, but there is a crime-free bubble with its center point located at any given time where Officer Polanco is.

3. Officer Polanco has a productivity problem. He likes the uniform. He likes the badge. He just doesn't like enforcing the law.

Can someone create a new thread for this discussion? For the last month, every time I've seen this topic rise to the top of the list, I've hoped in vain for an update on the original warning.

all signs point to: The orignal guy was caught.

..but don't let your guard down, there are still instances of people getting mugged for their electronics on a regular basis.

It's not like this was the only mugger in Prospect and Crown Heights.
