LOL 0 is it the same owner as Bar Reis? If it is, then I don't give them much hope.
I liked the sandwich place but their hours were inconsisent - and when I went in for their special (which included a soda) they had no diet soda - I thought that was a little strange. -
not sure what the deal is but i plan to try it before i make a judgement on it.
i happen to like bar reis. the sandwich place was a great idea, but not executed in the best way possible. -
I did not care for the place much when they sold the sandwiches. I walked in the other day as they were preparing the new place and got a chance to speak with the chef. The place is still owned and run by Reis. The chef was actually writing up the menu on a piece of paper as I was walking in. It seems reasonably priced and the chef is excited.
Hope this time it will work out............. -

That's craaaaaaaaaaazy.... how is it possible to run out of something? That has never happened anywhere, ever before.
Full Disclosure: I like this bar. It has a 10 year history. I watched all three presidential debates, election night, and the inauguration there... the space, the people are all good... not to mention it has the best backyard in park slope.
Let me take a breather from irrelevancy and mention that I didn't come here to gush all over Bar Reis. I came to criticize previous posters.
My blade is simply that people are so quick to judge without even trying something. Don't get me wrong, I'll judge the pants off of anything that edible or doable in a second....after I've tried it. But seriously people... shut the fuck up until you've walked a mile in shoes or some shit.... you get the idea.
That goes for Bar Reis and every other place you've never been to. -
Excuse me, I did try the sandwich place - more than once - because I liked it. I just thought that it was a little strange to offer a special with a soda and then be out of it (esp a fountain soda) and not to offer anything else - and it was the start of lunch.
All I'm saying is it was very poorly managed - especially with the inconsistent hours - but the sandwiches were good. -
I like the bar as well. The sandwich joint made good sandwiches, sorry to see that go even if it was a mess at times.

If you don't eat the pork sandwich creation at this unnamed place then you are an idiot. Or a vegetarian.... in which case your relatively lighter environmental footprint is to be commended.... but since you'll probably live longer it's all going to even out.
Anyway, try that pork sammie creation. It ruined me for all other pork sammies.
PS: flexi - yours isn't done yet. -
^ my what? pork sammie? wtf are you talking about now? too many links, too many back stories.

You're right.... I edited the post.
Even I don't know what I was talking about. I have juicy juicy pork on the brain... and the front of my shirt. -

It doesn't take much to confuse me. Especially after I hear "pork". I still want to know what is coming for me. Actually, maybe I don't. Carry on.
