My first day off and slept late going to late novena.
Jeanette I bought an Easter hat for Mia i will take a photo. I did take one yesterday but the tag was still on it she looked like Mimi Pearl was that her name fro, years ago that wore hats with tags on it..lol giving away my age...
Going to church and pray that God gives me the strength to start a healthier life today. Been out of control with eating and not exercising. Too depressed and too dam lazy. Not to be skinny although I do want to be but I can't breathe n my knees hurt. I ate so much yesterday and then got out of bed went down to get something to eat again and ate pistachio nuts in bed with a big glass of seltzer. When I got up this morning and saw the dish full of shells I wanted to vomit. Could I have ate that many YES I DID.
LOL OK c ya later and try to make the best of this miserable rainy day Love Ya -
Good Morning Everyone !!!!!
you are so right Jeanette the kids of today really do not dress for the holiday like we use to do I can remember my Mother taking me downtown to Buddy Lee's for a new suit & then to A & S for shoes, Shirt & Tie. Even when I reached my late teens I use to shop on 5th Ave. & 18th Street a store name Chuck & Charles who was owned by a good friend on mine in those day Mr. Johny Demma (better known as Johnny D)
Today if you mention A & S to the kids they associate it to the pork store (LOL)
but the times have changed although I still try to get my Grandchildren to dress at least to go to mass & even Easter sunday mass use to have alter boys now these days my own Granddaughter is an alter server. No big deal we can change with the times also.
Terry I am very sorry to hear about the motor cycle accident, my prayers will be offered to their Family -
Hi Everyone..
Boy is it pouring out, I could hear the rain from my office....
Funny my husband wanted to know the same thing...he asked me when did we stop celebrating Palm Sunday.....we always had the kids dressed up on Palm Sunday and Easter...I guess times have changed.
Well this week should be somewhat quite, my boss is on vacation.
Have a good day..peek in later -

Thanks Fred I do not know the people but I feel so sorry for the poor wife and so sad she lost her son too. Sometimes I wish i was not so sensitive it just pains my heart for people who have to go through this. I told my son not to forget to make an effort and go see her, He said the four boys will gather some money (maybe their bar tab for one weekend. LOL) and go over and give her an envelope and sit with her. I am proud I raised my son that way to think of doing something like that.... I went to Novena and prayed for everyone and still kept u on my prayer list at communion....Love ya

I'm so happy to be staying in today.....it's sooo crappy out there.
I was thinking about how I used to go crazy looking for cute little dresses and bonnets for the girls and trying to match little kevin too for easter.....don't see too much of that anymore.
I feel bad it's the kids first day of vacation in its raining.....I should be pulling my hair out soon...... :help: -
Terry.....you're so generous to always be thinking and praying for everyone.....Love ya......

Hi Everyone, Hope you all had a Happy Palm Sunday. We had tornados in NC last night, I was up until 1 am listening to the weather radio but all is well in Raleigh. The touch downs hit close to Charlotte, those poor people losing their home late into the night, so sad.
Didn't read the blog all wk.end so I'm responding as I'm reading. We had the baby shower for my daughter on Sat, it was really nice seeing all her friends, I made awesome cream puffs and chocolate cake!!
Happy Anniversary to my cousins, Freddie and Petrina!
Happy Belated Birthdays to Nicole and Maryann and granddaughter, hope you all had a great day!!! -

I enjoy seeing the little ones dressed up for Easter. When I was younger, my grandma gave me a shiny white pocketbook with a little round mirrow attached and it tucked into a pocket and while I kept playing with it in church --- I looked up and over and there was Sister Agnes Joseph ready to take it away from me, wow, some things we never forget!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Back then, it was 9 am mass and the nuns sat in back of each class. -

Dearest Blog Family,
All I can say is WOW!!!! The kindness of your hearts never ceases to amaze me. We received a package today and when Suzy and I opened it we found a beautiful basket filled with goodies and most of all Love. It is so beautiful. On this gloomy & rainy day we were remembering mom and feeling a bit sad about her passing. You all brought us some sunshine with your incredible gesture of generosity & kindness. My two boys always loved coming to Brooklyn to visit Grandma and play on the block. They always said they wish they had grown up there. Well they were both home when we opened the box. At first we could not tell who it was from. When we found the card inside and told them, Michael, the older of the two said, "boy dad you really grew up around some very special people". You are all "Very Special People" and on behalf of the Sanchez Family I would like to Thank You From the Bottom of Our Hearts. Again WOW!!!! -
