I'm looking for a website or other information source that can keep me up to date on local brooklyn street-fairs. I always feel like im out of the loop. Any suggestions about where I can find out a/b an upcoming street fair?

Other than the fact that they're a f'ing nuisance that prevent you from driving where you want when you want - why? Got a significant funnel cake or sausage and peppers habit do we?

Driving? Oh yes - I guess some people do drive.
  • As far as I'm concerned anything that gets cars off the street is a good thing. However, 7th Heaven would be a much more valuable community event if it restricted itself to local interests, I don't see why the funnel cake crowd is even invited.
  • Did anyone go to the one held on Flatbush Ave by Parkside? We ran into it driving back from the Rockaways.

Unfortunately they don't so much get cars off the street as move them on to normally less traffic-filled blocks (ever notice how they're always on avenues with bus routes?).

I enjoyed the 5th Avenue fair more than 7th Heaven this year - better selection of beer (and food). And they even had miniature pony rides by J.J. Byrne Park. 8)
  • We like the Fifth Avenue fair much better also. Same old same old at Seventh Heaven.
