How to Copy my iPod Music from my MAC to my new PC?
Just tried a bunch of new software online and I'm not finding any that works. I have an older iPod that works with my Macbook, but now I have a PC and want to transfer my music there too.
Any help? I'm willing to pay a small fee, but we are talking about Days and Days of music files. Once again my iPod is formatted for a Mac so when I plug it into my PC it requires reformatting, which would wipe all the music I want to transfer.

have you tried ephPod?
that works pretty well
other than that Copy Trans Suite is great but it costs about $40 -
You want your Mac music on your PC? Or you want to have your iPod tied to your PC?
There's no way to tie it to a new computer without wiping out the music and re-adding it from the new computer, I believe. -
does the macbook still work?
if so, use " ipod rip" to get it onto the mac, then an external hard drive to store then transfer -
But wont the external hard drive need reformatting into PC "land" therefore erasing the content?
I seem to have found a software that will the transfer, but I have to pay for it $$$ but the trial version of 10 songs seems to work. This is all really just to save my music library, which is incredibly large (I worked at a record/cd store through out college and I'm a music fiend) I have it on my iPod and Mac, but the Mac is old and crashes a lot so I'd like it all duplicated on my new PC for safe keeping. -
I know that going from PC to Mac, you can just transfer the files using Migration Assistant and connecting the two computers via firewire.
Do PCs not have a way to do this? -
Install EphPod on your PC
http://www.ephpod.com/
plugin the iPod
you should be able to just drag and drop the songs wherever you want -
Won't iTunes on a PC automatically download/transfer?

Whoa whoa whoa
If you have a wireless router you can do it through the network. I have this setup in my apt and did it myself, but I don't know the process well enough to explain it to you
