  • - Franklin Park (other side of Washington blabla) with take out from Chavellas and good beer.
  • Prospect: Le Garmin, Cheryl's

    Crown: Chavella's, FP
  • The Vanderbilt will have outdoor seating very soon.
  • Ortine has a nice little backyard.

    Backyard over sidewalk any day.

If you like back yards, there's this place on Vandy that you'll love - it's called Soda...

  • Has anyone been in the Zaytoons backyard? It looks really pretty...

Ha. Despite my history of criticizing Soda, I have developed a slightly different attitude about the place as of late. Of course, I only go there during the week days now, when the place is full of regulars (good crowd), and the bartenders are actually very friendly and attentive (tough not to be with fewer than 5 people in the place). Also, I thought I would hate their backyard after the building behind them went in, but I really don't mind it at all.
  • Zaytoons backyard is very pretty. And when the front of the house is packed the yard is usually empty. I think this is because you have to enter the yard from the side on St. Marks.

Many times! I have smoked hookah and drank iced coffees there for hours, and we have never been given a hard time about hanging out. We buy stuff, and it's never been crowded when we've done it.
  • not so much of an "eatery," but wanted to point out that sit & wonder on washington just took over the lease on the backyard garden space, and it opened last week. looks good!

They've got it set up now

It's pretty nice, but keep in mind that people smoke Hookah back there, so if that will irritate you while dining, stay away. Also, we saw someone light their pita bread on fire accidentally when it got a little too close to the tealights on the table. Apparently their pita is extremely flammable. Watch out for that too
