Hi! I am Viktor from Russia and I just watched some films about NY city by Discovery channel. I was very interesting.

This place posted on the photo has to be located somewhere in Gravesend, Brooklyn. I have a question. Where I can find this place on Google maps ?
Thanks.

I'm not sure, but it will be fun to find out.
By the way, What films did you watch? -
looks like a area either in sheepshead bay or midwood or gravesned borders off.
and i probably driven to the street. lol if gas was cheap i would so find it within a hour or so. -
well i can probably find it but call me paranoid this could be a hit for a russian mob thing
and next thing you know some poor dude in russian american gets screwed.
with the kidding aside what show is this? -
Maybe a link to the rest of the show???
-
if we know the show its pretty easy to find.
-
Need the image enhancement software they use on CSI. Enhance and go around the corner behind the building where the street sign will be...
-
Sort of looks like Benson Ave. I'm wondering if the tree line by the top is the golf course in Dyker Heights.
-
Extremely possible.. Idewild... I vote on your guess.
-
I think Benson ave is 2 way
-
ringrunner.. yup you are right about that.
Let's think again.. or take a ride. -
I like walking around NY city by means Google maps and looking at different streets and buildings of this tremendous city! NY not at all looks like our Russian cities and towns) I watched this place that is located in Gravesend in Discovery`s film and I decided to watch it and all around properly and well with Google maps. But I was very puzzled because I could not find this place on maps.

"These programs" are mkv video files. They are not soft but Discovery video films.
I understand this forum is created for Brooklyn inhabitants and I thought that anybody of them know Brooklyn well. I hoped anybody of such inhabitants could point to me on Google maps the place on my screenshot. -
It is asking me to pay.

Seems like this is the show, though not much info, probably limited release: Discovery Channel NYC Inside Out (2009)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1511803/
Haven't tried it but rapidpedia.com seems to have it available for download. -

Benson Ave. for the most part is two way. I remember one stretch being one way somewhere below 18th Ave. However, that was a few years back so maybe the City changed it. I'm mostly basing it on the apartment building and the corner building on the left, which sort of resembles the new Lundy's, but I don't see any waterfront and Bedford Ave where is two way. -
i'm with Armchair Warrior on this!! LOL! Though going to the DC webpage, linking to the show and contacting them would probably be the most direct and safe way to get this information.....

Viktor, I think it was a remark about Armchair's comment that your questions is a conspiracy plot by the Russian Mob, that you actually need this information to place a "hit" on a Russian American.
It's just a silly joke. -

Incredible! I am only a guy from provincial Russian town called Penza. And I fallen in love in this fantastic city of NY in which all of you are happy to live)) . No mob, no other Russian guys)

I'd love to see it. Post the link please.
I took a look on Google Earth and found a similar looking apartment building on Ave V. in Gravesend. But there wasn't any one family houses, or a park and round edged building across the street. It's a pretty common design I'm guessing. -
You can download the second series from any of these three links and, please, note: it is sounded in Russian language

I live in Russia, the province town called Penza that locates approximately 700 kilometers off to the southeast from capital city Moscow. And I never drink vodka because I don`t like any alcohol. And I think there are too many humorists in Brooklyn, NY. Am I right? -
Victor, you have reached the home of competitive humor and sarcasm.
Welcome to here -
In addition to the emphasis on humor and sarcasm, Brooklyn is enormous. It is large enough that if it were not part of New York City, Brooklyn itself would be the fourth largest city in America.
So if we are unable to recognize a particular street from a single photograph, that would be the reason why. -

That Depenza on what you consider humor -
I have a feeling it might be on E.7th Street by Ditmas. First, let me just say the producers are very good in not showing any obvious clues such as street signs or addresses. Second, the program I downloaded seems to be a DiVX file and I have no audio codec to support it, so I'm strictly going by visual. You see a school around 19:47 in the background. It has stars in the windows and usually this goes with public schools. I checked out Homecrest & Joseph F Lamb and a few IS schools on Google Earth and nothing came close to the apartment building with a house next to it. I looked up a vocational school and this is the closest. I am going to look at the high schools and trace a part number just to make sure.
Btw, if there are any Con Ed workers on this site I'd like to run a part/serial number by you.
Howdy, Stranger!
