Panhandlers: Where are they now?

Since I moved further south, I haven't seen these guys.

Does anyone know Moe? He's tall, bet 40 - 50 yrs old, black and w/ sloppy dreads. He would sell things that he acquired here and there. I once bought an answering machine from him that didn't work, but came with it's own roach. He also likes his coffee 'light and sweet'.

There was another softspoken, older caucasian man. I think he was bald and around 60? Could have been older. He had a disarmingly smooth voice and he would very politely ask for change on 7th. I think he had hornrimmed glasses and was always neatly dressed. I haven't seen him in a while either. Is he still around?

  • I've seen the old guy recently. I don't know what his story is, he flipped out on a friend of mine some years ago for no apparent reason. It was unexpected, but fortunately no harm came of it.
  • is the guy with the dreads a Met fan, or at least wears Mets shirts a lot and has a portable radio with which to listen to Mets games? Cause a guy fitting the description you gave can be found on the benches on Plaza St E., right next to the 2/3 stop on the north side of Flatbush (b/w Flatbush and Vanderbilt).
