Fan motor repair in North Slope?

I've got this great Vornado fan that decided to crap out right as it starts to get warmer, of course. I opened it up and tracked down the problem- something's jamming up the motor, probably a long hair or something tangled up in it.

Anyone have any knowledge of places that can fix/ replace the motor? I'd rather not drop the cash on a new fan if it can just be fixed.

  • see if you can clean off any old grease and then add a few drops of 3 in 1 oil. Surprisingly, thats a common problem with fan motors.
Or, you can probably find an online tutorial that will tell you how to do it yourself. I fixed my own dishwasher after watching a youtube video ( I'm awesome like that  )
  • I went with a friend to Bed Bath and Beyond on 6th Ave. She had two Vornados that had to be at least 5 years old (and they looked it) and they didn't work. They exchanged them. I couldn't believe her chutzpah!
  • Vornados have a life time guarantee - that's why they're worth the price
