Brooklynian Meet-up in Crown Heights Thursday, May 13th
As someone who has been posting waaaaaaay too much on the Crown Heights board lately, I hereby propose that the regular posters, lurkers, newbies, and general misfits that constitute the "membership" of the Brooklynian website meet.
In Crown Heights.
At the Crow Hill Bistro.
http://crowhillbistro.com
located on Nostrand and Union.
On Thursday, May 13th.
From 8 pm - whenever.
For the purpose of meeting each other, eating, and -yes- drinking.
All are invited (except for slackers who spend all day posting about what they hear life is like instead of actually participating in it).
Now for proactive question prevention:
The Crow Hill Bistro was chosen b/c Mrs. Whynot and I ate there recently and agreed both the food and beverages provided were yummy.
Thursday May 13th at 8 PM was chosen simply because.
If you think you might attend, type something on this thread. If it ends up that you are unable to make it, your only worry should be that we will assume you are actually someone that did show up, but didn't post.
Yes, you may attend without posting anything on this thread. However, it does make it difficult for me to give the Crow Hill Bistro some idea of how many people might show up.
No, I have not yet told the Crow Hill Bistro that we will be coming. Why ruin the surprise?
Yes, all of the regular posters are fabulously good looking, and some of them will likely show up. Some are even single. You should totally come.
Catwalker, xlizellx, bentley, ishtar, urbancowgirl, won't UB my nabor, Bklyn50, MHA, homeowner, Park Place, Clayfilms, Snowboard Queen, germanherman, bkchickie, capt planet, boogie knight, cool the kid, holla pena, et al ....I'm looking at you characters to come out and represent.
KWAC, if you come, please leave your firearm at the pct. and introduce yourself as Victor. ...we'll know who you are.
Discuss.

Well I'm a "newbie". I'll be moved in by Mon the 10th so I'll try to make it over there.
-
well, now that I've been personally called out, I guess I can make it. I've actually been saying that I'd get to Crow Hill Bistro some day and just hadn't gotten around to it.
-
Hi all. Newbie to posting but not to the site and the views of the regulars who post.
I've been meaning to make it to Crow Hill Bistro--guess this would be the perfect opportunity
-
Oh sure.
-
I will not be there; or maybe I will.
-
can park slopers come? if necessary i'll wear a baby bjorn and crocs so you can recognize me, but you'll probably be able to tell any because i radiate self-satisfaction

...make sure to endear yourself to the locals by double parking your Subaru wagon on Nostrand directly out front. See you then. -
i think the surprise may be ruined once homeowner sees this....
the mrs. and i will be out of town that night. pour one out for us. -
I will try and stop in for a drink or two. Gonna be busy packing for my move to Manhattan that weekend.

She's in on it already. ...she made the post global at my request. -
Crown Heights? Where's that?
Park Slope here.........with a Subaru wagon! Will try to make it and double park in front. -
hey landlord, want to just take my kid's hummer stroller? we can put our subarus in the trunk.
-
You guys can bring some of your organic food co-op and NYT bestseller book club buddies too.
-
I have a book club that only reads The Other Boleyn Girl over and over and over again. Should I bring them?

Wait...is that a pink Hummer?
Stay back, everyone. -
Serious lneslon,
If that Hummer is pink you need to leave it at home.
....Not even the mustard vs ketchup debate worked to calm people down after you brought it last time. Those who have been around a while would just pack up and leave as soon as we saw you with it.
ah, but imagine the scene that could take place...
person A to person B: "Don't make me go Ghetto on your sorry ass!"
person B to person A: "oh yea, Don't make me go Slope on your sorry, um, rear end!"
Note to newbies, in addition to the infamous pink Hummer thread linked by Jeffery, one should also read the KWACing thread: http://www.brooklynian.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=46037 -
Thursday? Booo. Oh well, those that have not met me will have to continue living in ignorance of how fabulously good looking I am.
-
hmm very tempting....
-

Based on your avatar, I'm thinking Em's thread on Chicklynian could help.

She's got good taste; they are hot!
If you show up I'll let you buy me a beer, but I'm telling you now, it's not gonna go any farther than that.
...not that there is anything wrong with that. -
The Avatar was picked for me by the friendly folks at Brooklynian. However, Im open to a new avatar suggestion. Maybe that would a good idea for a new thread?
-
up to you. Sexuality is a continuum, and some people don't maintain a fixed place on it.
So yea, if your old image doesn't work for you anymore, start a new thread in the lounge, I predict some people will have some fun posting. -
Ok to the Lounge I go!!! Can I still wear my banana hamock?

From what I've been told, female porn stars love that look.
BTW, wait until you are not on your work computer to goggle "banana hammock fetish".

There's someone out there for you ....Good luck!
KWAC's effort to establish a new look for himself is continued here:

I'll still be out of town, so I'm gonna miss this one. Have a drink for me!
-
After being absent from a Brooklynian meetup for a couple years, I may very well show up...just a few blocks down Union for me, so how could i pass this up?
-
Pre-party on sterling's stoop, lol...
-
And it's got a gate, so according to the police we'd be legal... :-)
