A possible theft? — Brooklynian

A possible theft?

I happened to walk today in front of the store (in construction) at 126 Seventh Avenue, between Carrol and President. It was about 2:15pm. Suddenly two men with caps came out of the place.

I could hear clearly one telling the other "just keep going!". The man that he was addressing had on his hand what appeared to be a trash bag with something big inside. He walked with a slight limp.

Both men went quickly towards the corner of President and Seventh and took off towards Sixth avenue. They keep looking back in a very suspicious way.

I was left with the strong feeling that I had witnessed the final moments of a theft. They did not look like construction workers and their demeanor was quite odd.

  • good thing you posted it here so the proper authorities could be notified.
  • if you see something, say something.

and that doesn't mean on a community bulletin board.
  • You might want to call the 78th Precinct Detective Squad and ask them if there was a theft there..... (718) 636-6485

If it happened at 2:15 pm today, any theft might not even be reported by the owners/victims yet.

Have being trying to contact the cops without luck. I called the number given as well as (718) 636-6411 right now and no one is picking up.
  • there is 911 which would have connected/transferred you directly to the local police, something you should have done immediately if you believed what you have said here.

    That's why there's a Witness Protection program.
