Noooooooooooooooo..
Clay Films, please come!
I thought you were paying for this! -
germanhermann? seriously? you invite the muenchen troll?
what would keep someone from going to the bistro that night and just spying on you people without taking part? -
Hey, I'm still more NYer than you'll ever be, Bobby. But that's OK, I know it's really hard to adapt to new settings when your head is stuck up the Phanatic's butt. paDOW!

The first Brooklyn Groupon is hitting inboxes this morning, and by coincidence it's for...the Crow Hill Bistro:
http://www.groupon.com/brooklyn/subscribe?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Search&utm_term=groupon%20brooklyn
The offer is for $40 worth of food and drink for just $18. I'm a huge Groupon fan, some I'm glad to see this finally hit Brooklyn... -

Limit one groupon per table. I doubt they'd waive that, least of all for this group.
-
I will be in CT for work that day, but I should be back in BK in time.

You can host the next one. This is one is at Crow Hill Bistro. -
C"mon, whynot_31, why not?
-
MHA, please see proactive question prevention in OP:
"The Crow Hill Bistro was chosen b/c Mrs. Whynot and I ate there recently and agreed both the food and beverages provided were yummy."
P.S. From the level of interest expressed so far, we seem to be somewhere between 10 and 15 people. I will officially warn them on Wednesday. It is a small enough place that newbies should be able to find us without any trouble, yet large enough that one could act like they have nothing to do with us.
I'm just here for dinner; I don't have anything to do with "those people". -
This is a neat idea. I'm game.
Prices aren't bad here. My girlfriend and I had dinner the other day for $35 and they have a healthy variety of beers. -
Count me in too!
...haven''t been reading the boards much recently, but don't hold it against me. -
Would Love to be there but will be out of town. Hope you guys do this another time.
BTW
Does anyone know of a place in our neighborhood that will be holding a LOST season finale party??? -

Place was already picked... maybe u can teleconference? -
Went there last night with our Groupon- (what a deal, btw- I didn't see anything over $14 and Daver and I had a hard time spending $40 worth of food- fortunately though, the money goes towards the total of the check and not just food, like I'd assumed).
While the food was excellent (the apps were quite large enough to be mains), we waited FOREVER. It eventually got to the point where we just had to go, and told them to wrap our entrees. It wasn't the waiter's fault (hell, he moved fast considering he was working bar and all the tables!), it was clearly the kitchen which moved like molasses. I'm all for taking your time to do it right the first time, but it was bad. We got there around 7:45, got drinks quickly and our apps came within 30-40 minutes, but then it was another hour before we just gave up- we left at 9:45, doggie bags in hand.
Don't go starving- there's no bread to keep you going. -
I will warn them of our large party. ....but for some reason I think we may be more of a beverage crowd.

whats funny is i live right up the block ... lol. so convenient. GREAT FOOD BTW.
also skeptical about 95 south. um kinda because im from the city where the group 95 south started and im still missing the great seafood and wings of that beloved city.

I think we were there at the same time. I joined a party in the back around 9 and got my food at 10.
The slow service is my only gripe with the place and i REALLY wish they would do something about that. I don't have an hour plus to throw away waiting for food every night though i love the quality and cost of their meals. -
Can't make it tonight, gotta pack for my move. Maybe my girl will let me sneak out for a drink but I highly doubt it. Have a Kahlua + diet Coke for me

Yes, I saw you- 2 guys/ 2 girls? You guys waited FOREVER just to get your order taken, right? I remember feeling bad for you all...
We were the couple at the high top table who left with the take-out bags.

They were quicker when the Mrs and I went.
....they have been warned of our arrival. I've told them between 10 and 15 people:
Some eating but not drinking
Some eating and drinking
Some drinking but not eating
...hopefully we won't have anyone that neither eats or drinks. -
Hi - I'm a newbie to Brooklynian gatherings (and in general) but I'll be there tonight. See you (heretofore unknown) people soon!
-
<<<< is wearing a lime green tshirt
-
Greetings! The crow hill bistro is very crowded ...and we will move to Franklin park at 9:00. See you there if you haven't joined us already.
-
Subject: Too Crowded
Stop by CHB, it was way too crowded for me.
Seemed like some sort of post, post, post college party going on.
What time did people leave CHB?
Howdy, Stranger!
