    5th ave already has a bahn mi place close to there... too bad brownstoner gave no real info: Owners? Chef/cook? Price

    Maybe it's the same guy as the other 5th ave one > who did work at hanco's > left to start Henry's >and then left there to open another on 5th (the name escapes me, but it really doesn't matter at all)

    this is 5th avenue and president. for those in the north slope, 5th and 5th is a long way to walk for a sandwich.

    but yeah, park slope now has 4 bahn mi places...2 on 7th and 2 on 5th...

    nice to finally have one in north slope.

    I wish one of the four banh mi places would use rice flour for their bread. This is why the sandwiches at Nicky's and the Sunset Park places taste better.

    The new place at 5th and Prez is called Lotus. It's next to where Matter was...
    haven't been in yet, but I got their menu -- rice dishes as well as sandwiches, bubble tea, Vietnamese coffee...I'm into it, fingers crossed.

    Tried a classic today - the bread is the nice rice flour mix kind.
    Overall I say good, not great. Happy to have this place blocks away. The bubble tea was flying outta there like hot cakes.

    Does this place happen to stay open late? I wish at least one of the banh mi places would... last I checked, Hanco's closes at 9 and Henry's at 9:30. Sometimes I want eats and bubble tea later than that....

    went in there yesterday during the fair....did not have a sandwich. Ambiance is a ton better than Hanco's or Home. I'll give them that. All these places are in deep doo-doo once this goes the way of frozen yogurt as a craze.
