Superawesome handyman recommendation? — Brooklynian

Superawesome handyman recommendation?

Hey all! So, I have some work I need done in my kitchen, and would love to find a handyman (um, handyperson) who really knows their stuff, and comes with a recommendation.

Looking to put down ceramic tile (but the plywood subfloor needs to be repaired in one spot first), and a new butcherblock countertop, and my washing machine needs to be connected to the pipes. So, nothing too huge or difficult, but the prices from contractors were astonishingly high. If anyone has a handyperson they trust and would personally recommend, I'd appreciate the referral!

  • Subject: Recommendation for a handyman

The person whose name I am giving you comes with the highest recommendations. His name is Willie and his phone # is 347-302-6179. He did the following in a rental apt. Put down a ceramic floor, installed ceiling fans, additional outlets, additional sheveling in a closet, replaced a lighting fixture in the bathroom( had to put a switch in it to make it work), Comes when he says he coming. Tell him Ms. Mann from Maple Street told you to call.
  • Thanks so much!! This is exactly what I was hoping for. Much appreciated!

Forgot to mention, he also put in a counter top. If your are looking for tiles, go to Milford Tile on Crystal and Glenmore. Cheap, Cheap, good, good. If you need a painter I have a good one also
  • I know a brother by the name of Atu. He's excellent. His number is 518 488 0979

Funny. I was about to ask you if he's commuting from Albany.
  • Thanks, MHA, but the referral from fusdma has worked out.

Also, I'm a bit creeped out that you seem to know who I am, but won't enlighten me as to who you are. Not going to take referrals to bring someone into my home, given that situation. But, your good intentions are appreciated.
  • Sorry to creep you out Cowgirly. I understand the rationale to not take the referral. I wouldn't either. I am very sorry.
