Rant: Sore butt from 100+ miles of riding -
Rave: before I forget again...thank you to the delivery truck on Flatbush when I was walking the dog early yesterday morning.
When he was backing in to where he needed to make the delivery, instead of the usual BEEEEEP-BEEEEEP-BEEEEEP his truck played a MIDI-ringtone-ish instrumental version of this:
Seeing and hearing that back into place made my day, thank you. -
Whynot totally needs this shirt!

Rave: I think I may have to buy one of the tees from this website

Rave: Dunno if it's been the weather or what, but this has been a phenomenal year for gardens I've noticed throughout the area (Prospect Heights, Park Slope, Prospect Lefferts etc.).
Especially the rose bushes.

Rant: Squirrel, you might be cute but you are an ornery little cuss. This makes the fourth time you dug around in my flower pots, uprooting a bunch of seedling flowers. First time I thought, okay maybe you mistook the pots of dirt for a nut refrigerator. Second time I thought maybe you were just making sure. Third time I thought surely this is the last time. Fourth time c'mon son no one is that stupid. You are fucking with me, and this makes me very angry. — I need to reflect on this. On the one hand I feel like teaching you a lesson, maybe leave some habanero peppers out for you. On the other hand I feel like bludgeoning you with a hammer. One way or the other I am going to have some flowers. Capice?

Rave: Are they brown, like the ones in Arlington VA? http://www.brooklynian.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=57578 -
Oh man.
Saturday afternoon my longtime trusty Reef black flop flops finally busted in Prospect Park. Boy did I look silly, trying to walk home in what remained.
Anyhow, I went down to the Old Navy on Tilden just off Flatbush (next to Stop&Shop) for Saturday's big $1 flip flop sale. Saw it on @pulseJFK (love that service)
By the time I got there late afternoon, they were all sold out.
I did find an odd pair of a nicer (~$20) variety flip flop that someone just tossed up on a pile of shirts off to the side that happened to be the only one left of its kind in the store, magically in my size, and marked down to $15. And they were in a classic solid color, not some crazy Hawaiian pattern.
So I didn't get the cheap-o ones for the big $1 sale, but I was psyched to have a really nice pair of replacements, since mine had just blown out.
Rant (now, upon having watched whynot's video again):
They are brown. #-o
I guess somehow, somewhere some being needed to maintain balance in the universe. -
Too bad your Reefs finally bit the dust. If you are in the market for them again, try Zappos.com (one of my all-time favorite, most customer-focused online shopping sites)
