  • MHA, I assume you are telling the story as it was told to you.

I wasn't there. The story seems completely credible to me; some cops are lazy and rude. Counterfeit money is everywhere, and I might not confront a guy who just gave me a fake $100 bill if I was alone in a store, especially if I was a female.
  • For the record, 'sufferin succotash' is not what I said. I have no idea what succotash is, given that I am from the Caribbean. Another example of whitewashing. Sorry folks, I am going back to the soapbox and channeling Malcolm.
  • folks know you aren't into to succotash by the little bunny thing.
It is part of an experiment by Jeffery to lighten the mood.

I have no idea what succotash is either.

    Sounds russian.
  • southern, with native american roots ...who knew.

  • It's not laziness or rudeness on th ecops part. It's NEGLIGENCE. And seriously, the fact that there is no empathy for this woman and the fear she must have endured is really effed up. Salix, what could you possibly mean that the cop store was being lured into a store? 'Lured'? What does that even mean in this context? That she was going to ambush him?
  • And for the record, it's amazing the fact that Hamilton has said some outright racist comments here, and NOBODY has said anything to him. YOu have totally overlooked what he has said, and jumped down my throat. And you say I have a problem? 'Where were any of you when he made the whole 'they must come from a tribe of spitters' comments? How is that anything to be tolerant of? Yet my commentary is devalued? And for the record, I have more than a mere college degree, and WhyNot_31, I find it interesting that you imagine yourself as being of more means than me and willing to put me in charge of something YOU control... Yet, because of my views, you would not want me to be in charge of something YOU have no control of.... SO, essentially, because my ideology doesn't gel with yours, you s want to be in charge of me. Ain't that somethin'?? You still want Black people to be controlled by YOU. Now if that ain't troubling, I have no idea what is.
  • I actually did speak out several times if you go back.

No worries, these few threads have been perhaps a bit exhausting for all involved, and everyone's honest opinions and generally civil and neighborly attitude here have been greatly appreciated.

I believe this one, too has run it's course and am locking it since there appears little new that remains to be expressed on the original subject.

    Thanks all.
