Where to get Kegs? — Brooklynian

Where to get Kegs?

Does anyone know of a place Near Franklin Ave / Crow Hill to get a keg? I know there are maad booze stores but I don't think they sell 'em. I'm looking for *good* beer and a good deal (of course).

I plan on using zip car, but I don't want to drive too far away.

Thanks! :D

  • Come down to the base of Washington at Lefferts, there is a beer distributor right there where Washington meets Flatbush.

But I think they may be cash only, based on prior experiences buying cases.

    Name escapes me...

    Ooh..also check this:

  • Try that place on Washington near Bergen. All they sell is beer.
  • ishtar, that place is great. I did see a sign they have kegs -- Not sure on prices but their tap selection for growlers is good, so who knows what they'll have for kegs.
  • Keg prices are pretty good, especially if you love some craft-beer goodness.
  • Washington and Bergen has the best local selection. Washington and Flatbush is great for bottles and cans with a pretty good selection, but not a place for kegs.
  • Oh.. nice. Thanks to errybody for the input. I was gonna just go check out both places and see what they had, but homeowner tipped the scales for me. Imma go for a bike ride now and get some prices... (please don't rain)

    FYI update:
bluepoint, six points (and similar micro brew not ending in 'point') $175
Brooklyn, sam adams (and similar national) $155

I didn't ask how much the PBR was.
  • Isnt there a brewery on Waverly tween Fulton and Atlantic? I don't know if they sell kegs but I know they sell bottles and do it yourself kits or something of the sort.
