    ...but I don't think that's what she meant- I think she meant that "this woman raises her kids and the kids raise hell whenever possible," meaning that the woman's doing a shitty job raising her kids...

    So, the second one is what you read, right OC? And then, yea, you gave her props for being one of the 'good' parents...and then she got tight.

    You know her better than we do- only you can interpret her vibe. And like someone said- online convos constantly get misconstrued.

    Actually how I took it was "she raises her kids every day and gives them hell whenever possible" i e disciplines her kids and yes then I gave her props for being a good parent and everything got funky LOL

    Huh. I mentally repunctuated this way: "She raises her kids every day and, hell, whenever possible," meaning that raising kids is such a full time job that you have to do it every day AND whenever possible. A la "Eight Days a Week" sort of.

    OC, I must admit I'm curious after all this speculation on what she might have meant: Have you talked with her since and cleared things up?

    I'm so confused. Why are you flipping out at your friend who you've known for 20 years, and you have to ask people on a message board to interpret her intentions? Wouldn't you be the one to know the answer to that? And how come you don't know her kids? I'm so confused at this relationship.
