not sure why it's tagged as prospect heights. i was always under the impression that this side of flatbush was considered park slope.

  • that is technically Park Slope.
Hold on, another sushi spot? Not sure that 's a wise move unless we're talking a caliber of fish above Taro or Geido.
now i'm hungry for Sushi but it's monday and all the good spots are closed today. :fish:
  • I wonder how Flatbush Farm feels being surrounded by the restaurant uselessness that is Cafe Cubana, the former Helios space, and yet another sushi spot. And they get to stare across the street and wonder what actually could be with Piquant. It's enough to mess with your sense of self-esteem.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but a solid coffee shop might actually be needed in that spot more.

did you bring enough drugs to share with the whole board?

Mod note: that is a filter of the board not the user
  • i wish I was that witty. That was the automatic profanity filter!

I wish it was drugs! Wife is out of town and I'm in charge of the kids. God bless mothers. I'm absolutely frazzled. And all I really have to do is make sure they're fed and not stinky. Shouldn't be this hard.

Sushi was killer. My kids are advanced eaters so we had an amazing meal at Taro.

    and good night!
  • ^ if those kids act up too much, give them some Benadryl. I'm just sayin' ;-)
  • If by Benadryl you mean wine, brandy or beer then yes, I agree.

    =D>

    Yay! Love Taro....
  • It's not just going to be another sushi restaurant. More like extended family.

Im new to the Brooklynian, and its sad to see that alot of these posts are biased within some shape or form.
  • But the saving grace is that the opinions of the various posters
are very different from one another. So we get a wide range of biases!

Objectivity, like truth, is a myth.
  • The Internet is a medium open to the opinions of whoever bothers to post them — be they commies, fascists, vegetarians, Kiwanians, stamp collectors, cross-dressers or fans of Alan Keyes.

But Fox News superstar Bill O’Reilly SAYS the Net is dominated, as if by conspiracy, by liberals.
God damn, un-American vegetarians!! Brooklynian is all about the constitutional right for bacon!
  • Constitutional right for bacon? In a thread about a sushi joint? This thread has become so confusingly self-referential I cannot remember whether I ever had an opinion, much less what kind of opinion I might have had!

    Focus, people! Donuts vs. Sushi!

    Its silly.

I believe, dear Sir, we may have to settle this over a bbq at Bear Mountain! I'll bring the donuts :D

I will bring the kimchi and spam kimbap.
  • I'll bring the bacon!!

But we'd have to wait a few weeks until I can comfortably walk again. I've just had surgery on both of my knees, and walking is difficult for the moment.
  • I feel like this should've been spotted between the last post on this thread and mine, but hey, here goes:

This isn't going to be "another" sushi place... it's going to be another Taro. Yes! More space! Really nice-looking interior! I've NO idea if it's a second location or a replacement of the Dean St location, but who cares? Nicer, newer Taro locale! I pass by every weekday, and I can't wait for it to open! :)
  • Great news! I hope they can keep up the quality with the higher volume.
  • They should have an ad or poster of some guy getting up at 5am...

"Time to make the tuna roll..."

I missed this thread. I still have dreams about your spam kimbap.

Credit where credit is due- Mrs. C made it.

It clearly is, and you should strongly consider changing the name of the site to "Baconian."
  • mmmmm bacon sushi
  • Danny Hellman wrote: It clearly is, and you should strongly consider changing the name of the site to "Baconian."
    I would get behind that.
