Rant: As I type this I am in Webinar hell.
"the comment period for the proposed rule changes in Section 4, paragraph 5 are conforming changes. This is a change to make our regulations in compliance with existing public health law....." -
Rave: Theory - try putting in a word substitution filter for added amusement

Rave: Holy shit! They're all fucking gone!

there is no expectation that existing authorizations will be changed as a result of the proposed regualtion changes, although this is subject to the discretion of the locality in which the program is adminstered
---> this may have no relevance to anyone, because every county has the authority to implement it as they choose. -
jeffrey wrote: Rave: Holy shit! They're all fucking gone!
maybe they'll show up in my webinar, but in reverse.
Notice of adoption --> bullshit
"codifying existing regulations through modified standards" ---> employment for life for state workers.
"We are working with the office of budget and CMS to obtain their approval to amend the state plan for medicaid so we can amend the regualtions to secure greater federal dollars, and expect to offer interim guidance on our provider approval applications criteria and program monitoring tools within the next six months"
---> beer -
Rave: The webinar has now resumed after lunch...
Rant: This means I'll post my favorite quotes here for largely my own amusement. -

fine.
Section 4.26B now requires that session notes include both the start and end time of the session, whereas in the past, only the total length of the time of the session was required to be recorded.
Another clarification is that original records are maintained by the employer in the instances in which the provider is an employee. However, if the provider is a contractor, the original records are maintained by the provider (not the employer).
Consolidated fiscal reports will be required as needed in order to justify our costs to the state. CFR data will be gathered in a manner that is representative of all costs incurred throughout various providers throughout the state, individual provider's data will not be used in a manner that results in them releasing their financial information to the public. It will be used in the aggregate. -

Rant: I'm going away at the end of this week and the only people who would watch my dog for free (my aunt and uncle, who I think are trying to steal him) could only take him this past Sunday. I am now deeply in withdrawal and have many dogless days ahead of me.
Rant: Humidity ruins graham crackers. -
Rave/rant: Park Slope ...one tough Brooklyn 'hood!
I mean if you are going to have a block party to celebrate local produce, is it a rule that you have to advertise the event and stop traffic with a Subaru wagon? If it isn't, it should be.
yea boyz!

Rave: In honor of the approaching end of the school year, it is time for "report card comments".
These are supposedly actual comments made on students report cards by teachers in the New York City public school system. All teachers were reportedly reprimanded...
1. Since my last report, your child has reached rock bottom and has started to dig.
2. I would not allow this student to breed.
3. Your child has delusions of adequacy.
4. Your son is depriving a village somewhere of an idiot.
5. Your son sets low personal standards and then consistently fails to achieve them.
6. The student has a 'full six-pack' but lacks the plastic thing to hold it all together.
7. This child has been working with glue too much.
8. When your daughter's IQ reaches 50, she should sell.
9. The gates are down, the lights are flashing, but the train isn't coming.
10. If this student were any more stupid, he'd have to be watered twice a week.
11. It is impossible to believe the sperm that created this child beat out 1,000,000 others.
12. The wheel is turning but the hamster is definitely dead. -
Rave: ^ ^ ^ That.

Rant: The stupid charger for my stupid ipod shuffle (only about a year old, I think) stopped working. Its battery just died, can't charge it or add new songs to it. Fuckin' shit. I guess I'll use the nano on my walks till I get a new charger. -

well, as much as I'd love to eat a whole giant red velvet cake (and I'm more of a salty-potato-chip girl), this was just enough. -
WhyFi wrote: [quote=Flexichick]Rave: the small red velvet cupcake from Lopez Bakery - only $2 and just the right size

It's all about the ratio between the cake and the cupcake top / frosting. I'd much rather have two smaller cupcakes than one of those giants from Crumbs with an equal mass. -

This has a nice frosting on it. About 1/2 inch high and tasty -
Multiple small cupcakes, that I can understand... one? Esh. (Yes, I DO have a high intake of calories per day... so what?!)

Did you try the print shop across 7th from DR? They sometimes have great cards (if you prefer the non-mushy stuff).
