Good Vet in the Neighborhood?
I will spare you the long version but I am an owner of an awesome three-legged cat. At the time of her leg being removed her vet was in manhattan but since she is all healed I need a good vet in the neighborhood.
I don't need one immediately but I do want to get the ball rolling checking out different vets, etc.
Thanks in advance.

Check the Pets board for recommendations. There is a never-ending arguement over which of several vets is the best. -
Did not know that was here! I certainly will check it out.
Thanks. -
As "homeowner" mentioned, "There is a never-ending arguement over which of several vets is the best." Two places you should check out. Both in PS: Animal Kind on 7th Ave and the 5th Ave Cat Clinic.

Stay far away from 5th Avenue Cat Clinic. I personally hold them responsible for the death of my cat and for failing to recognize or act on her obvious signs of illness and then for the arrogance and downright cunty behavior (a word I rarely use) of the owner.
(disclaimer: this is MY personal opinion and experience. I'd be happy to share more details with you if you are actually considering going there. I vowed I would tell anybody who brought their cat to them and asked my opinion how much they suck on every imaginable level). -
There are quite a few people here who think very highly of Hope Vet. I have heard they do wonderful with special needs animals.
I personally like Brooklyn Animal Hospital on Vanderbilt but in the spirit of full disclosure - I also have family members who work there.
Howdy, Stranger!
