Cost of a 1 bedroom apartment in PH?
Hey y'all,
I'm thinking seriously of moving from Bed Stuy to Prospect Heights. I have a little dog who could really use some park time, and I'm just getting tired of the neighborhood.
I'm looking to stay $1350 and below for a 1 bedroom apartment. Is that possible? How much are 1 bedrooms running in Prospect Heights these days? I've been looking on craigslist, but haven't seen that much in PH I wouldn't mind moving into Crown Heights a bit too.
Thanks!
SG :-)

If you are willing to live in Crown Heights (E/W from Rogers to Washington is a nice area) then I think it's totally do-able. We pay 1200 for a 2 bedroom in that area - while that's cheaper than most in the area, it's clearly possible.

This one is $1000 per week, not per month. -

D'Oh! I thought it seemed too low.
It was the only NYT "Prospect Heights" listings in that price range that was actually in Prospect Heights. -
NYT! ...OP is not in that income bracket....
craigslist, rent.com and maybe even (gasp) The Post. -
I have a friend who is moving to the neighborhood and he has just secured a 1 bedroom for less than your $1350 budget, so it is definitely doable.

$1000 a week?!? Eeek LOL
Thanks for the reassurance. I have been looking on craigslist and streeteasy. I'll try rent.com and maybe the Post too :-p
Thanks and if anyone is leaving, knows anyone who's moving out, etc etc please feel free to let a girl know

I was paying 1100 a month for a one bedroom rent stabilized on Underhill before I moved to a 2 bedroom.
Howdy, Stranger!
